21 great principles to live by

Got this in my email box today, 21 great principles to live by! Niko

1. Give people more than they expect and do it cheerfully.

2. Marry a man/woman you love to talk to. As you get older, their conversational skills will be as important as any other.

3. Don’t believe all you hear, spend all you have or sleep all you want.

4. When you say, "I love you," mean it.

5. When you say, "I’m sorry," look the person in the eye.

6. Be engaged at least six months before you get married.

7. Believe in love at first sight.

8. Never laugh at anyone’s dreams. People who don’t have dreams don’t have much.

9. Love deeply and passionately. You might get hurt but it’s the only way to live life completely.

10. In disagreements, fight fairly. No name calling.

11. Don’t judge people by their relatives.

12. Talk slowly but think quickly.

13. When someone asks you a question you don’t want to answer, smile and ask, "Why do you want to know?"

14. Remember that great love and great achievements involve great risk.

15. Say "bless you" when you hear someone sneeze.

16. When you lose, don’t lose the lesson.

17. Remember the three R’s: Respect for self; Respect for others; and Responsibility for all your actions.

18. Don’t let a little dispute injure a great friendship.

19. When you realize you’ve made a mistake, take immediate steps to correct it.

20. Smile when picking up the phone. The caller will hear it in your voice.

21. Spend some time alone.

All excellent principals to live by; things we may forget day in and day out. Thanks for the reminder and sharing it! 🙂

thank you niko for sharing these nice messages. some of them are already familiar to me. by the way, how are you?

i have to say, i havent really seen such a honest singer or any bandmate. i mean, my favourite bandmates wouldnt really give advices or be honest to fans. i mean when i comment or post messange they wouldnt but niko would which is so gourgeous!

yeah, it s very true about the conversation when u get older, unless, situation will be unbearable and boring!

Promise Yourself –
To be so strong that nothing can disturb your peace of mind.
To talk health, happiness and prosperity to every person you meet.
To make all your friends feel that there is something in them.
To look at the sunny side of everything and make your optimism come true.
To think only of the best, to work only for the best and to expect only the best.
To be just as enthusiastic about the success of others as you are about your own.
To forget the mistakes of the past and press on to the greater achievements of the future.
To wear a cheerful countenance at all times and give every living creature you meet a smile.
To give so much time to the improvement of yourself that you have no time to criticize others.
To be too large for worry, too noble for anger, too strong for fear, and too happy to permit the presence of trouble.

Peace, Love and Music

“When the power of love overcomes the love of power, the world will then know peace”

– Jimi Hendrix

THANKS! I will share it with my friends too.

greetings from Taiwan

That’t awesome! Absolutely!

A big ‘Hello’ to you from Cyprus!
Great rules indeed! Could I add another one?
Do not expect a ‘thank you’ or to be appreciated for anything you do! When it happens, you will feel overwhelmed for sure! Take care 😉

It needs to add the rule of 3 loves: Love God with all your heart, mind, and soul; love your neighbor as yourself; love your enemy

Words that come from heaven…. thanks 🙂

They are good Nico. I am a Christian and live by the principles the God has given us both in the old and the ones Jesus taught us to do. These seem to work out good for me and my family.
